“One thing I have desired of the Lord, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord, And to inquire in His temple.” Psalm 27:4
Originally from Mesa, Arizona in 2005 I moved to Kansas City, Missouri to become a part of the International House of Prayer (IHOP-KC). IHOP–KC is an evangelical mission’s organization which began on May, 7, 1999. Here we are committed to praying for the release of the fullness of God’s power and purpose as we actively win the lost, heal the sick, feed the poor, make disciples, and impact the seven spheres of society (family, education, government, economy, arts, media, and religion). IHOP-KC’s vision is to work in relationship with the larger Body of Christ to serve the Great Commission, as we seek to walk out the two great commandments to love God and people. I am on full-time staff at IHOP-KC, spending over 50+ hours a week in the prayer room and service to the Missions Base. I feel so honored to have the job I have.
Also, I am happy to report as of November 2009 my parents- Anita and Bruce joined myself, my brother- Zack, his wife- Carrie and their daughter- Natalie here in the Midwest. It’s so wonderful to all live in the same state again. The Lord has truly blessed my life and I am so grateful to Him for that.
Here is a better idea of what I do working at IHOP:
Spend time in the Prayer Room
“I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem They shall never hold their peace day or night.” -Isaiah 62:6
The Prayer Room has been going 24/7 since September 19, 1999. My time in the prayer room is spent in prayer, worship, and study of the Word.
Coordinate Events
I also work in the Events Management Department as an event coordinator helping put on different events and conferences for IHOP. Also, I have been given the opportunity to the main event coordinator for all the regional events we do across the U.S. This is such an exciting season for me. (Picture of a conference- Dec. 28-31, 2010. We had 30,000 people register.)
